History of Home Hardware
Home Hardware was founded in 1963 by approximately 120 independent
hardware dealers. The company was established in Ontario, and quickly grew to include Atlantic Canada. During 1981, Home expanded to Western Canada by amalgamating with Link Hardware Company of Alberta.
Over the years, 3 distinct brands have developed within the Home Hardware family - hardware stores (Home Hardware), building supply stores (Home Building Centre), and hardware/building supply stores (Home Hardware Building Centre). Today, there over 1000 Home Hardware, Home Building Centre, and Home Hardware Building Centre dealers across Canada providing you with great prices and quality advice.
